In order to halt the spread of a deadly xeno-parasite on a newly colonized planet, USS Keeler is forced to do business with an Orion Marauder. Without the rare drugs offered for sale by these so-called merchants, hundreds or even thousands of lives will be lost. Almost certainly, the medicine being purchased today was recently stolen from a Federation hospital or pharmaceutical lab - but there's no time to worry about that now.

USS Keeler is a freshly repainted version of Rich Merk's classic Antares-class freighter. The Orion Marauder was created by the brilliant David Metlesits and converted to a format I could use by the indefatigable Mattymanx. The background, I believe, is by NASA - no doubt an image captured by the secret space program we civilians don't get to know about.

Hm. At first I wondered if you were inspired by the rescue of Iranian sailors by the US Navy. Maybe that's a theme you could run with? The Keeler responding to a disabled Klingon merchant?
